Decorating Services for Homes, Businesses and Character Properties
Howe’s Decorating Company provides professional painting and decorating services throughout Long Stratton, working with homeowners, landlords and commercial clients on projects of all sizes.
Based in Tivetshall St Mary, we are happy to travel to Long Stratton and the surrounding area for anything from a straightforward room refresh to larger renovation and refurbishment work.
As an experienced painter & decorator, we believe the quality of the finish depends heavily on the preparation that comes before it. We take time to assess the condition of the surfaces, prepare them properly and use suitable products for the property and the job.
If you are planning domestic interior renovations in Long Stratton, we can help with decorating work across individual rooms or an entire home. Some properties simply need a fresh colour scheme. Others require more extensive preparation, repairs and finishing before they are ready to be redecorated.
Our domestic decorating work can include:
When you need a commercial decorator, reliability and organisation matter just as much as the final finish. We understand that commercial spaces often need to remain operational, or that work may need to be completed within a particular timeframe. Commercial projects may include:
When working on a heritage and listed building, it is important to understand the materials already present and how the property was originally designed to perform.
Older buildings can react badly to unsuitable modern coatings, particularly where breathability is important. We therefore assess the existing surfaces carefully and use appropriate traditional or modern breathable products where required.
Our experience can include working with:
As a local decorator covering Long Stratton, we can help with everything from repainting a tired living room to decorating bedrooms, kitchens, hallways and complete properties.
The preparation stage may include filling, sanding and dealing with damaged or uneven surfaces before painting begins. This extra attention creates a neater finish and improves how long the decoration lasts.
Exterior paintwork must deal with far more than interior decoration, including rain, sunlight and changing temperatures. We provide exterior decorating for homes and other properties across Long Stratton, including painted timber, windows, doors and suitable exterior surfaces.
Where timber has begun to deteriorate, Repair Care epoxy repairs can sometimes address damaged sections before repainting, helping preserve existing joinery where appropriate.
Rental properties often need to be turned around quickly between tenants, particularly when decorating forms part of wider maintenance or refurbishment work.
We work with landlords and property owners who need an experienced painter & decorator to refresh interiors, repair worn areas and prepare properties for their next occupants.
This can include anything from touching up individual areas to redecorating an entire property after a tenancy. We discuss timescales clearly before starting so you have a realistic idea of when the work can be completed.
Howe’s Decorating Company is based in Tivetshall St Mary and provides decorating services throughout Long Stratton and the wider surrounding area.
Our work covers a broad mix of properties, from modern homes and commercial premises to older buildings that may require more specialist knowledge.
Whether you need a painter & decorator, a commercial decorator, help with domestic interior renovations, or decorating work on a heritage and listed building, we can discuss the project and provide a clear, written estimate based on what is required.
I just wanted to say what an amazing job you did for us at Roydon Village Hall. You were all so helpful from start to finish with advice and information with regards to materials used etc. The biggest advantage to us was the fact you could work flexibly for us and got the whole job done so quickly in just over one week. The fact you managed to do this meant that there was such minimal disruption to our regular hirers and therefore we had minimal loss of income too! To anyone who is looking for a decorator i would not hesitate in recommending you. You were all so amiable, professional, clean, tidy and finished the job to a high standard. You went above and beyond with the info you provided in your quote and this definitely helped us make our mind up to 'use' you. You weren't the cheapest or most expensive of the quotes but you were definitely the most thorough and helpful. Thank you again for all your help and advice.

Gavin and his staff did extensive work in our house and did so to a very high standard to our absolute satisfaction. Gavin gave our work careful and thorough consideration before a detailed estimate which we promptly accepted. He impressed us from our first meeting as a courteous and professional person. He phones when he says he will, he turns up when he says he will and at all times treated our home with the greatest respect. After completing the work he left the rooms in an immaculate state. Gavin is extremely helpful, totally reliable and honest and i have no hesitation in recommending his firm for painting and decorating work.

We are a GP surgery with a large purpose built premises and this year have undergone an extensive decorating programme. We found Howes an excellent organisation to do business with. They have organised the project with minimum disruption to the service. They have worked with us at every stage to establish a convenient time to carry out work for the benefit of both patients and clinicians. Their work has been thorough, of excellent quality and on time. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other NHS establishments.

I would like to record my thanks for the very prompt action to repaint a flat during the short period when it was vacant. This is an essential requirement for rented properties. You completed the work to a high standard and very quickly. Thank you

During the time you were decorating the entire interior of our house you were a joy to have around. Points that stand out are
1. the painting was of superior quality and the cutting in of all the studs and beams was perfect.
2. every evening the furniture replaced as far as possible and all your paraphernalia neatly stored
3. any dust and debris removed every day.
Please thank your colleagues; an expert, hardworking, trustworthy team.
